About

As an experienced educator and developer, I am able to bring a wealth of experience to projects that I work on. I maintain an understanding of the cutting edge of technology and can provide insight into any number of topics that can cause teams problems, not just in games but across the broader spectrum of tech and related industries. My current focus revolves around machine learning and its impact on data analytics for games.

Information
Developed the BSc (Hons) Games Programming and BSc (Hons) Web and Mobile Development degrees. I remain course leader of Games Programming, both courses were developed with feedback from industry partners. The goal of the Games Programming degree is to produce graduates who can immediately enter the games industry upon graduation, either at an existing studio or by starting their own thanks to a comprehensive entrepreneurial strand that runs throughout the course and culminates in a 10 week Games Hub run in partnership with the Ipswich Waterfront Innovation Center. Along with course leadership, final project supervision and involvement in research and enterprise programs, I currently teach a number of modules across the Games Programming and Games Design degrees:
  • Introduction to Programming (1st year, C++)
  • Maths for Software Development (1st year)
  • Level Design (2nd year, Unreal, Unity)
  • Artificial Intelligence for Games (2nd year, C++)
