As an experienced educator and developer, I am able to bring a wealth of experience to projects that I work on. I maintain an understanding of the cutting edge of technology and can provide insight into any number of topics that can cause teams problems, not just in games but across the broader spectrum of tech and related industries. My current focus revolves around machine learning and its impact on data analytics for games.

Tasked with the strategic oversight of the Technology subject area which includes the following courses:
I act as a line manager for staff across the subject area, mentor new academics and support staff in research and knowledge exchange while also still teaching on the Games Development offering.
Developed the BSc (Hons) Games Programming and BSc (Hons) Web and Mobile Development degrees, working with industry partners to ensure they provided students with relevant knowledge and skills. Both degrees have since been merged into other offerings as pathways: Games Development (Programming) and Computer Science (Web and Mobile Development).
The goal of the Games Development degree is to produce graduates who can immediately enter the games industry upon graduation, either at an existing studio or by starting their own thanks to a comprehensive entrepreneurial strand that runs throughout the course and culminates in a 10 week Games Hub run in partnership with the university's Innovation Lab and Knowledge Exchange and Business Engagement team.
Along final project supervision and involvement in research and enterprise programs, I currently teach a number of modules across the Games Development degree:
I focussed on the more technical elements of the BSc (Hons) Games Design degree and I was heavily involved in updating the curriculum as part of the revalidation process to ensure graduates were developing skills and understanding relevant to industry.
